taken from a now long out-of-print tribute CD to british guitarist bill nelson, we are proud to present a double A-sided non-album single from saffron matted voids, their debut single in fact, from 1998. two very different nelson compositions are covered by smv on this, their very first musical partnership: a rocking cover version of "furniture music", b/w the very beautiful and contemplative "portrait of emiko with moon and stars" featuring ken mistove on delicate piano and dave stafford on massed ebow melodies. since these two tracks originally appeared together on the original compilation, we have included BOTH tracks in a single zip file at one low price. not to be missed!
